Trek Details
The Manaslu Trek with Tsum Valley is a truly incredible adventure that takes you through some of the most remote and untouched parts of Nepal. It combines the classic Manaslu Circuit Trek with the added bonus of exploring the Tsum Valley, a beautiful, culturally rich region with Tibetan influences.
This trek takes you around the Manaslu massif (8,163 meters), the eighth-highest mountain in the world, and includes a detour into the Tsum Valley. The combination of these two regions allows you to experience a diverse range of landscapes, from lush subtropical forests to alpine meadows and high-altitude desert environments.
The ideal time to trek the Manaslu Circuit with Tsum Valley is during the spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November) months. These seasons offer the best weather conditions with clear skies and pleasant temperatures. Winter and monsoon seasons can be harsh due to snow and heavy rains, respectively, making trekking difficult and dangerous.
Difficulty and Fitness Level:
This trek is moderate to difficult, especially due to the high altitude (especially crossing the Larkya La Pass). The total elevation gain and the long days of trekking make this a physically demanding trek. Prior trekking experience and a good level of fitness are highly recommended.
The added challenge of the Tsum Valley, with its remote nature and higher altitudes, requires careful planning, but the stunning landscapes and cultural richness make it an unforgettable experience.
