21 days

Trek Details

The Everest Three Passes Trek is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in Nepal, offering a more remote and adventurous alternative to the classic Everest Base Camp trek. This trek takes you over three high-altitude passes — Kongma La Pass, Cho La Pass, and Renjo La Pass — while still providing access to key Everest region landmarks like Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, and the Gokyo Ri viewpoint. It’s a stunning journey through remote villages, past glaciers, and across rugged terrain, with spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Key Highlights:

  • Three High Passes: The trek crosses Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La, offering spectacular views and a sense of accomplishment.
  • Everest Base Camp: You’ll visit the base camp of the world’s highest mountain, a major highlight of the trek.
  • Gokyo Lakes: A series of glacial lakes with mesmerizing turquoise water and fantastic views.
  • Kala Patthar: One of the best viewpoints for panoramic views of Everest and other surrounding peaks.
  • Remote Villages: You’ll pass through less-visited villages, providing a more tranquil and unique trekking experience.

Difficulty:

  • The Everest Three Passes Trek is considered challenging due to the high altitude, tough passes, and long trek duration. It’s recommended for experienced trekkers with good fitness levels and previous high-altitude trekking experience.

Best Time:

  • Autumn (September-November) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for this trek, with stable weather and clear skies.
