Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia and is bordered by China and India. It is located in the Himalayas and contains eight of the world's ten highest peaks.Nepal has the greatest altitude change of any location on Earth. The lowlands are at sea level and the mountains of the Himalaya are the tallest in the world.Nepal may mostly be known as a mountain lover's paradise but a visit will reveal charming hill villages, tranquil Buddhist monasteries, ancient Hindu temples and a unique cultural lifestyle.

Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, is set in a valley surrounded by the Himalayan mountains. At the heart of the old city’s mazelike alleys is Durbar Square, which becomes frenetic during Indra Jatra, a religious festival featuring masked dances. Many of the city's historic sites were damaged or destroyed by a 2015 earthquake. Durbar Square's palace, Hanuman Dhoka, and Kasthamandap, a wooden Hindu temple, are being rebuilt.

Pokhara is a city on Phewa Lake, in central Nepal. It’s known as a gateway to the Annapurna Circuit, a popular trail in the Himalayas. Tal Barahi Temple, a 2-story pagoda, sits on an island in the lake. On the eastern shore, the Lakeside district has yoga centers and restaurants. In the city’s south, the International Mountain Museum has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas.

Nestled at the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan has a particularly rich flora and fauna and is home to one of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros and is also one of the last refuges of the Bengal Tiger. Chitwan National Park (CNP), established in 1973, was Nepal's first National Park.

Bandipur is a charming hilltop town in central Nepal, known for its preserved cultural heritage, scenic views, and traditional Newar architecture. Located just a few hours from Pokhara and Kathmandu, it’s a peaceful retreat, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare, and Manaslu mountain ranges. It's an ideal place for a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Lumbini Tour is the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the Messenger of Peace. Lord Buddha was born in Nepal in 623 B.C. As a prince, his mother, Maya Devi, was going to her maternal town. The Lumbini Tour is one of the four holy places of Buddhism.
